Welcome to Warwick Floorball Club! We are an enthusiastic group of students who enjoy playing floorball (or unihockey) both casually and on a competitive level.
Not sure what floorball is all about? Think of a mix of ice hockey without the ice (or violence) and indoor field hockey! Also it is one of the rare sports which allows men and women to compete on the same team.
Most of our members are beginners when they join too, so come along to one of our sessions even if you’ve never even heard of floorball!
Our training times are as follows:
Thursday 4:00-6:00pm – Main Hall, Warwick Sports Centre
Saturday 5:00-7:00pm – Main Hall, Warwick Sports Centre
(Frist team: Sat 4:00-5:00pm – Main Hall, WSC)
Our club has two teams who regularly compete in the UKFF Midlands League, with the first team that has participated in the annual National Tournament. This year we also hosted an inter-university tournament with great success. After our creation in 2007/08 we’ve rapidly expanded to become one of the fastest growing sports on campus.
Floorball is a sociable club with events throughout the year such as circling, a christmas meal and annual tours happening throughout the year. Two tours being both abroad and in the UK allows for international floorball, seeing new places and enjoying a few days with your teammates. However, being a very open club, drinking is not a requirement!
All skill levels, from absolute beginners to pros are more than welcome, thanks to our teams of various levels you will never feel out of place. Don’t be shy even if you have never heard of floorball and want to try it, do not let your sporting ability stop you! All you need are trainers and some sports gear. We are a friendly club who love to see new faces. For fitness, fun and floorball come check us out!
